4th FIPM Looking back to Iceland
Looking back at Reykjavík 🇮🇸
One week ago, 13 female instructor pilots from different countries came together for our 4th Female Instructor Pilot Meetup in Iceland.
And once again, it became very clear why these meetings matter.
We exchanged experiences, compared perspectives, learned from one another, and had the opportunity to spend time with Icelandair in Reykjavík, gaining insights into their operation, philosophy and way of working.
But perhaps the most valuable part was something much simpler:
Time to talk.
Time to listen.
Time to learn from people outside our own airline and our own system.
Elevate the Line has now grown to 47 members from five continents.🌎🌍🌏
That number makes us proud - but it is not really only about numbers.
It is about creating a community where knowledge is shared, where questions can be asked openly, and where experience does not stay inside one cockpit, one airline or one country.
Reykjavík also gave us the opportunity to reflect on where we are heading next. We discussed what we want to develop further, what we want to improve,
and how we want Elevate the Line to continue growing as a peer-to-peer community.
We will keep you posted on the outcomes of these discussions and on the updates that will come out of this meeting.
And after that, we may just have one more thing to share:
where the next Female Instructor Pilot Meetup will take us.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Iceland and to Icelandair for welcoming us.
We keep learning from each other. And we keep moving forward.
