Heading to Iceland: The 4th Female Instructor Pilot Meet-Up

The momentum is building as Elevate the Line prepares for its next major milestone: the 4th Female Instructor Pilot Meet-Up (FIPM), taking place in Iceland from 23 to 25 September 2026.

Building on the foundations laid in Bamberg, Barcelona, and Lisbon, this gathering brings female flight instructors together across initial flight schools, ATOs, and airline operations. The goal remains clear: bridge operational silos, exchange modern instructional techniques, and cultivate psychological safety and leadership in aviation training.

What to Expect

Set against Iceland's dramatic landscape, the three-day program balances intensive professional collaboration with peer connection:

  • Day 1 (23 Sept): Welcome & Connection - Attendees arrive in Reykjavík to decompress at the geothermal oceanfront Sky Lagoon before gathering for an informal welcome dinner.

  • Day 2 (24 Sept): Core Summit & Húsafell - A dedicated morning working session hosted at Icelandair HQ(accessible both in-person and online via hybrid format) diving into competency-based training, human factors, and instructional debriefing. The afternoon transitions to Húsafell for a group nature walk and evening dinner.

  • Day 3 (25 Sept): Strategy & Wrap-Up - Morning reflection to consolidate key training insights, align community initiatives, and map out the next steps for Elevate the Line before returning to Reykjavík.

A Community Built on Shared Knowledge

Flight training is demanding, and instructors often operate in isolation within their respective schools or airlines. Elevate the Line exists to change that dynamic by fostering a non-competitive, cross-border network rooted in mutual support and standardizing instructional excellence.

Membership and participation in the network are free of charge.
